Technical Drive & Birmingham Mind for Mental Health Awareness Week

It's essential to prioritise mental health every day, whether through small acts of self-care, seeking support when needed, or simply being kind to oneself.

This Mental Health Awareness Week, Technical Drive came together to support Birmingham Mind!

Their incredible efforts in providing counselling, advocacy, and group work to help the community manage their mental health and wellbeing are truly inspiring. We extend our heartfelt thanks for their dedication and hard work.

Birmingham Mind has been a beacon of hope in our community, offering a range of services that cater to various mental health needs. Their counselling services provide a safe space for individuals to express their thoughts and feelings, while their advocacy work ensures that everyone has a voice and access to the support they need. Additionally, their group work fosters a sense of community and belonging, helping people to connect with others who may be experiencing similar challenges.

At Technical Drive, we were thrilled to participate in Mental Health Awareness Week with a series of engaging and impactful activities.

Throughout the week, we shared useful well-being tips and advice, aimed at helping our team and the wider community manage stress, improve mental resilience, and promote overall wellbeing. These tips included mindfulness exercises, healthy lifestyle choices, and strategies for maintaining a positive mindset. One of the highlights of the week was our social events, where we came together over relaxing hot drinks and tasty treats.

These moments of connection and relaxation were a wonderful opportunity for everyone to unwind and enjoy each other's company. We also introduced a unique and fun activity...our newly invented pool table game, ‘Mind the Mushrooms!’ In this game, the mushrooms represented money, and the aim was to knock them down.

This creative and entertaining game not only brought smiles and laughter but also helped us raise £280 for Birmingham Mind! The funds raised will go towards supporting their vital services and initiatives, making a real difference in the lives of those they help. Mental Health Awareness isn’t just for this week.

We encourage everyone to remember to take time to look after their wellbeing, and that self-care is not selfish!

At Technical Drive, we are committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment where mental health is openly discussed and valued. We believe that by working together and supporting organisations like Birmingham Mind, we can contribute to a healthier, happier community.
