Running for a Cause (and a Claus!)

On Sunday 30th November, three of our team from Technical Drive joined hundreds of runners and walkers at Cannon Hill Park for the Mental Elf 5K, supporting our client Birmingham Mind.

It was a day full of festive fun, community spirit, and a shared commitment to mental health awareness.

The park looked magical, bright blue skies, crisp winter air, and a sea of elves in colourful costumes. Before the race began, everyone gathered for a lively group warm-up to get the blood flowing. Then it was time to tackle three laps of the picturesque park (with a cheeky hill at the end of each one!).

Along the way, carol singers in the bandstand filled the air with Christmas music, and even a few enthusiastic dogs joined the fun. Despite the freezing temperatures, the sunshine and laughter kept spirits high.

Over 400 people took part, from speedy runners to families strolling together, all united for a fantastic cause. The atmosphere was incredible, full of encouragement, smiles, and festive cheer.

Crossing the finish line meant more than just completing the 5K; it came with a medal, a goodie bag, and the warm feeling of supporting Birmingham Mind’s vital work.

We’re so proud of Becky, Scott, and Linda for braving the cold and embracing the festive spirit. Events like this remind us how powerful community can be in raising awareness and supporting mental health.
