Groundwork is a charity established in 1981, consisting of 15 independent trusts across the UK. Founded to unite communities, businesses, and government in a joint effort to improve quality of life and promote sustainable development. Groundwork undertakes thousands of projects each year, making a real and lasting difference in the places that need it most.
Groundwork UK has been working with Technical Drive for around 10 years. Initially, Technical Drive supported users and on-premises IT infrastructure through remote IT Support and onsite engineers. In 2024, Technical Drive assisted Groundwork UK in migrating to the cloud using the Microsoft Ecosystem.
Following Groundwork UK’s successful cloud project, a decision was taken to rollout the migration across all 15 trusts during 2025. The project was put out to competitive tender, which Technical Drive was awarded.
